WHY LA PAZ?
Our advocacy platform is non-political, inspired by our shared humanity and a desire to see Chattanooga grow and prosper, as a city. We partner with organizations working to improve the lives of all Chattanoogans, although we do have a focus on our Latino neighbors. We lead initiatives to remove obstacles, create opportunities, and collaborate to enhance the wellbeing of people who, in the past, have been ignored.
CIVIC ENGAGEMENT
We believe that every Chattanoogan - regardless of immigration status - can be powerfully engaged in the civic process.
Political Education & Systematic Barrier Removal

We collaborate with partners like TIRRC to provide political education.

We identify and address local systemic barriers that hinder civic engagement for immigrants and refugees.
Voter Registration & Education

Work with local civic partners to register community members to vote.

Conduct educational programs to inform locals about the political landscape at local, state, & national levels.

Actively participate in city, county, and agency initiatives to ensure the Latino voice is represented.

The surge in Latino residents across the county has seen an 80.6% spike from 2010-2020. As the Latino population continues to grow it is critical that we, as a community, are aware of the needs and opportunities facing this growing demographic. It is imperative we build the capacity to strategically provide services that are accessible for all.

Our center serves as a hub for the community, strategically located to enhance accessibility for all residents.
It is the focal point for classes, workshops, and various community engagement activities, providing a reliable and welcoming space for communal activities.
