โLa Paz provides a wide variety of educational support and wealth building opportunities for our local Latino students, families, and small businesses. The topics range from career skills to civic education. We also provide community classes focused on cultivating and retaining elements of Latin American culture within our city.

Small Business Support

Fundamentos Empresariales, a cohort-style 12-week class to equip entrepreneurs with essential skills and knowledge to grow and sustain their small business.

Monthly Business Seminars, offered for burgeoning entrepreneurs or those with a business idea who want to take the next step in their entrepreneurial journey.
Student Development
In an effort to champion equitable access to education opportunities, La Paz offers a cohort-style program, Avanzando Through College, for first-generation Latino college students in their first or second year of college with an aim to provide skills, knowledge, and networking opportunities.

Cafecito Entre Nosotras, a monthly gathering for Latina women to build community and learn about local resources

Convivio Comunitario, our annual potluck with an aim to foster cross-cultural connection with both community members and non-Latino supporters
Claws & Paws Mobile Vet Clinic, offering low-cost pet vaccines and services to community members for their furry friends
Asset & Wealth Building
We partner with Latino professionals and small business owners to offer financial literacy education as it relates to wealth building and smart money decisions. Topics include:

Know Your Rights in partnership with TIRRC and Tennessee Wage & Labor Division. Topics include tenant rights, labor rights, and local policy changes affecting immigrant communities.
